In all 59 F 1's based on the female parents viz., JLT-26 (w) and TC-25 were evaluated for the extent of standard heterosis over commercial check viz., Tapi in two experiments. Useful standard heterosis was observed 218 per cent in hybrid,JLT-26 (w) x SIK-004 and 286 per cent in hybrid TC-25x JLT-54. Such hybrids can be useful for large scale cultivation in future if they will give stable yields over years and seasons
