A experiment conducted to study the P balance in maize-based cropping system revealed that the P 2O 5 at recommended level increased the available soli P 2O 5 of which the theoretical balance being 3.5. The P 2O 5 when applied for all the crops in the system increased the available soil P 2O 5 and the theoretical balance was positive.
