Carbon-nitrogen-phosphorus-sulphur relationships were studied in different jute growing soils collected from fifteen well established soil series belonging to Inceptisols, Alfisols and Entisols. The respective mean relationships i.e. C: N, N: P, C: S, N: S, P: S and C: N: P: S ratios were 10.6, 4.18, 51.09, 4.18, 1.20 and 106: 10: 2.76: 2.32.
