Fifteen hybrids involving five lines and three testers were evaluated to study the heterosis estimates for nine characters namely plant height, number of branches per plant, number of capsules on main stem, number of capsules on branches, total number of capsules, capsule length, number of seeds per capsule, 1000 seed weight and seed yield per plant. Among the hybrids th~ crosses TMV 6 x T6 and TMV 3 x T6 showed significant and positive standard heterosis for seed yield per plant and most of the yield component characters. The study revealed that T6 was superior variety among all the parents studied.
