An experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2001–2002 to study the perfonnance of three varieties viz., Pusa Chetki, Pusa Reshmi and Japanese White and four plant spacings viz., 60 x 60, 60 x 45, 60 x 30 and 60 x 15 cm on seed yidd and quality of radish. The results indicated that, maximum seed yield of 13.47 and 14.01 q/ha was harvested from Pusa Chetki variety and the closer plant spacing treatment 60 x 15 cm, respectively. Among quality characters, test weight and graded seed yield were observed maximum in wider spacing of 60 x 60 cm whereas, the variety Pusa Chetki recorded highest test weight and germination percentage of radish seed. The interaction of varieties x spacings was non-significant for all the characters.
