A field experiment was conducted during the Kharif Seasons of 1996 and 1997 at Zonal Agricultural Research Station, Igatpuri, to find out the response of niger to Macro and Micro Nutrients and organic manure in Western Ghat Zone soils of Maharashtra. Application of recommended dose of fertilizers + 15 kg ‘S’/ha (ZnSO4) + 30 kg ‘S’/ha (MgSO4) recorded significantly maximum seed yield of 376 kg/ha which is 67.11% higher over control and contributed by various yield attributes like capsules/plant (34.17%), seeds/capsules (35.75%) and 1000 seed weight (20.11%).
