The experiment was carried out during 2001–2003, to find out the efficacy of biofertilizers with different levels of nitrogen on one year old plants. Biofertilizer was applied twice in a year @ 10 g/plant with 2 kg FYM. The plants were inoculated with Azotobacter chroococcum, Azospirillum brasilense and their combination with three levels of inorganic nitrogen as urea (1/3rd, 2/3rd and full dose). The plant treated with Azospirillium + Full N exhibited maximum growth, leaf NPK content and endophytic establishment.
