A field experiment was carried out during 2004-2005 to find out the effect of phosphorus dozes on growth and yield attributes of onion Cv. Nasik Red. 90 Kg P/ha was found to be superior to other dozes (30 and 60 kg P2O5/ha) in performing good growth of onion during all stage of crop growth. Significantly highest bulb yield maximum gross and net return were obtained by applying 90 kg P/ha in comparison to lower doses i.e. 30 kg P, 60 kg P/ha. The lowest bulb yield, gross and net return were recorded when no phosphors was applied.
