A field experiment was conducted during the kharif season of 2004 and 2005 to study the response of FYM, Azolla pinnata, and inorganic nitrogen on yield of rainfed low land rice. Application of FYM 20t/ha with 80 kg N/ha gave significantly higher yield than the application of Azolla pinnata 1 t/ha with or without nitrogenous and nitrogenous fertilizer alone. The uptake of nitrogen by grain and straw significantly increased with the increasing levels of nitrogen with combine application FYM 20 t/ha.
