The investigations were carried out to study the varietal characterizetion on two interspecific and one intra specific cotton hybrids and their parents through chemical tests. The chemical tests such as sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide were found to be useful for its examination of the cotton genotypes, seedling response to gibberllic acid and 2, 4-D seeds soek tests were also found to be useful in identifying the cotton genotypes.
