CHEMICAL COMPOSITION, NITRATE AND (3-CAROTENE CONTENT AT DIFFERENT GROWTH STAGES IN KENT VARIETY OF OAT FODDER (KENT VARIETY)

ABSTRACT
Oat fodder of kent variety was cultivated and its samples were taken at five different stages of growth for the estimations of β-carotene, nitrate, ADF, NDF and crude protein. NDF, ADF increased as fodder matured however, β-carotene content and crude protein was decreased. Nitrate content was highest at flowering stage.
