Oat fodder of kent variety was cultivated and its samples were taken at five different stages of growth for the estimations of β-carotene, nitrate, ADF, NDF and crude protein. NDF, ADF increased as fodder matured however, β-carotene content and crude protein was decreased. Nitrate content was highest at flowering stage.
