Crop growth rates and net assimilation rates of sixteen prerelease maize genotypes
were analyzed. MRC 5, 6 and 8 showed steady crop growth rate (CGR) values upto 60-75
DAS, while MRC 2, 3, 6 and 8 recorded steady and high net assimilation rates between 3090
DAS. The genotypes MRC 3 and 8 with steady net assimilation rates (NAR) and steady
CGR re'corded better HI and seed yields.
