Most popularly grown varieties of wheat under the area of survey during the year 1991–92 were UP-2003, UP-262, K-7410, C-306, HUW-206 and HUW-234. After the analysis of collected samples the average infection of Kamal bunt was 9.37 in variety UP-2003 and minimum was 0.31 in LOKE-1 during 1991–92 while in the year 1992–93, the same variety UP-2003 showed maximum (5.64) average infection. The varieties having less than one per cent average infection were LOKE-1, WH-157, HD-2285, HUW-55, Sonalika, K-68, HD-1553, HUW-234 and HUW-206 the varieties having more than one per cent average infection were UP-2003, UP-262, K-7410 and C-306.
