A field experiment was conducted to study the different times of planting and its influence on growth and yield of Basrai banana during 1994–95. The maximum pesudostem height, girth and number of leaves at flowering, minimum days for flowering and harvesting and maximum finger length, finger girth, bunch weight and yield per ha was noticed under June planting followed by April planting which was second best. Higher average per metric ton prices were obtained from these two plantings.
