1Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics,
SKN. CoUege of Agricultur~, Jobner - 303 329,1ndia
ABSTRACT
Correlations and path coefficients were studied in 70 half-sib and selfed progenies generated from composite UUJ-1 of fodder bajra {Pennisetum glaucum (L.) RBr}, in strip plot design with three replicatlons during kharif 1998 which revealed that the characters like plant height and leaves per plant were important characters for the selection of half-sib progenies as they exerted positive and high direct effect as well as had positive association with green fodder yield per plant/or per plot, whereas, the tillers per plant was important character for the selection of selfed progenies as they exerted positive and high direct effect as well as had positive association with green fodder yield per plant/or per plot.
