ABSTRACT

An experiment was conducted during 1995–96 to select best suited variety for commercial cultivation. The maximum pseudostem height and girth, total number of leaves, average number of hands, fingers and bunch weight was recorded in Padalse. Least days for flowering and harvesting were recorded in Shendurni, however, it was in higher magnitudes for Padalse. Higher finger length and girth were noticed in Shrimanti.
