Crop yields are increased by the application of appropriate concentrations of plant growth substances. Growth regulators stimulate activity of key chemical processes which is reflected by increase in plant growth or may divert photosyntheates to the harvestable product so as to increase in crop productivity than actual yield. This phenomena accentuate to discuss the importance of plant growth regulators in rice production has been worthwhile to briefly review in this paper.
