ROLE OF NUTRITION IN RELATION TO IMMUNE SYSTEM - A REVIEW
1Central Agricultural University,
Iroishemba, Imphal, Manipur - 795001, India
ABSTRACT
After 25 years of its initiation, agroforestry research is at a sustainable state today. Sustainable agriculture production through agroforestry systems, in recent is in enhancing the production of tree products through the domestication of trees. Below ground dynamics systems influenced by genetic, site and management factors. The knowledge of it can be utilized for minimizing competition for nutrients and moisture in agroforestry systems for better utilization of below ground resources. Competition for water and nutrients is often reported but there is a great scope for water and nutrient conservation linked to agroforestry. It is reported that there is increase of growth and mineral nutrition of the grass stratum due to tree shade. Shade enhances the availability of nutrients in the soil, changes micro-climatic conditions favouring the biological activity of the soil. The live-stock tree interactions have been also significantly reviewed e.g. effect of dung, tree litter, nutrient recycling on soil fertility and crop yields, use of crop residues which certainly affect the sustainable agriculture production.
